One of the most exciting aspects of teaching world geography and world history courses is that I incorporate Google Maps and Street Views to immerse my students into a realistic lesson that keeps them motivated. With the help of technology applications such as Google maps and street view our students are exposed to a close look at the world around them. Of course, before the internet teachers and students relied on textbooks and pictures from National Geographic to learn and discover places far away. Today, I am able to take my students for a hike around the Pyramid of Giza or the Great Wall of China by simply clicking a button.
