Is Your Website On The Google Blacklist: 6 Ways To Find Out

Is Your Website On The Google Blacklist: 6 Ways To Find Out | Google Penalty World | Scoop.it

From the original article: "This question should interest every entrepreneur and someone who is active in one way or another on social media. These different options will give you the necessary support. [note mg]

Imagine that you’ve spent years building a business and growing a website. You launch a promotion to email a list of potential customers with exciting new opportunities to save lots of money by doing business with you. Did you email too many people, or did you email the wrong people? Did someone turn you in as a “spammer” to one of the many spammer blacklist organizations out there?

Everyone hates real spammers, and the last thing you want to do is get labeled as one. That’s one kind of blacklist. The other kind is worse – the search engine blacklist. That’s the one that is basically a death sentence for your site because Google and other search engines stop crawling your site or even listing it in search results. No blacklist is good to get, because ISP’s and many content filtering services access Internet blacklists to figure out not only what email to block, but also what websites to block or to mark as potentially dangerous.

How do you know you’re on the Google List or any other database of blacklisted sites?"

Machines Can Filter Only Humans Can Curate

Machines Can Filter Only Humans Can Curate | Google Penalty World | Scoop.it

This is an interesting article, good suggestions.

Intro:

"Note: This is a follow-up to my earlier post on Curation in the Enterprise, and seeks to develop some of the themes introduced there.] F...

s can filter. Only humans can curate. When a human curates, she does three things. She selects something (or things) from a larger group. She organises those selections cohesively. And she arranges to present those things in such a way that people find it easy to engage with those things.

What I thought I’d do in this post is to look at all this a little more closely, all in the context of the social enterprise.

First, let’s look at selection.

The simplest and commonest form of selection in social networks is the asymmetric follow (a phrase I first heard used by James Governor). You follow someone or something, you subscribe to that someone or something. Elect to receive updates, alerts, reports. That doesn’t mean they follow you.

The Post-Panda Age: How To Build A Quality Website In 2012 - Direct From Google

The Post-Panda Age: How To Build A Quality Website In 2012 - Direct From Google | Google Penalty World | Scoop.it

I hear a lot of webmasters complain day in and day out about all the changes that Google constantly makes to its algorithm and how they affect our search engine placement.

Let me break it to you: it’s not all about what Google has done and will do to update its algorithm.

It’s about what you SHOULD BE doing.

I am sure we all can agree that Google’s ultimate goal is to help people find the most relevant and highest quality sites in Google’s search results (whether they are any good at it is not the question). They are not putting out all these updates just to mess with you...

Hey Martin,
I just checked out your Blog, and I like it a lot. I just left you a comment there. Anyway I have the perfect solution for automation so you can have your Scoops come automatically to Internet Billboards and also you can guest post whenever you like. The solution is a simple RSS plugin that you install to your wordpress blog and when you post it will automatically post to Internet Billboards

No worries Martin perhaps I can eventually set us an RSS myself to import your feed, but for now you can always post occasionally when you like curation is very quick, and also feel free to submit any articles you write as a guest post.
